This is how my ‘Start’ button looks like…it’s no more a ‘start’ button but it’s a ‘Markish’ button. I’ve done this in Win98 some 4-5 years back. But I had the pain of the hexadecimal editors to change anything in the binary file (i.e the explorer.exe) But now with the availability of the ‘Resource hacker’, it’s quite easy and straight forward. I came across a utility called ‘Resource Hacker’. It’s not that bad as it name sounds.. It’s a very powerful and very small in size (some 600 kb) utility that will allow you to access the resources associated with any win32 Executables or dlls. So what..? Most of the Win32 Application uses the resource files for the GUI part. Once we have access to them, we can play around with it even when we don’t have the source code of it.. We do receive several junk mails in our mail-box daily. No mail providers (gmail, yahoo, our own outlook, hotmail) and none of us are exceptional to it… J I often wondered from where in the world these people keep sending them to me..! I wanted to dig this out..! I found a way as well to locate the culprits..but nothing more I could do..! At times I’ve felt pain in using the so called ‘Rich-Format Editor’ that is available online… I wanted some easier tool that would allow me to write blogs offline and publish it. Accidently I came across the publishing / blogging capability of MS-word. I’m not sure if this is available in earlier versions previous to 2007. Luckily I use it. I just wanted to create a self-assesment tool in excel with an easy user-interface. The basic features I wanted are i. It had a puzzle in it. It’s quite interesting ( atleast to me… Daily we come across so many business opportunities…more than 90% of them may be scams and even a non-pratical model for doing it. When I ‘s roaming on the web for a business opportunity…millions of sites were there for online business opportunity…but I wanted something concrete as these business opportunities promised to make me a millionare overnight..! I never thought upgrading my Iphone firmware was so easy..! I just kept myself in the version I bought for long time as I never wanted to spent more money on my mobile..! (atleast for sometime now..!) But something happened to me yesterday, I don’t know why I decided to upgrade it..that too myself… |
